A straightforward cattle trading model, built on quality pasture and patient management.
Buy Store Cattle
We purchase quality store cattle — younger or lighter animals with the frame and genetics to grow. Careful selection at the buying end sets up everything that follows.
Grow Out on Pasture
Cattle graze our fertile Warren paddocks, converting quality grass into weight gain. Good soil, managed well, does the heavy lifting — low stress for stock, low input costs for us.
Sell at Target Weight
When cattle reach their target weight and condition, we sell into the market. The margin between purchase price and sale price — less the cost of grazing — is the business, plain and simple.

Looking Ahead: Sheep Grazing
Cattle are our focus today, but the same country and the same philosophy suit sheep grazing just as well. As Golden Soil Grazing grows, we plan to expand into sheep — diversifying the operation while staying true to what we know: good soil grows good stock.
